To make your own Bold gradients, use the Gradient-Balancing tab to change the Saturataion, Contrast, negative Gamma and sometimes Brightness. The range is -255 to 255. If you want to save your new gradient, press the button "Apply all current balancing options" and then save with a new name. If you want even more you can do it again. If you want only one area of the map to be concentrated, brighter, lighter, etc. you can move the ink bulbs to that area and your changes will affect only the colors between them.
